Specsavers Dash Fastest Male and Female
Terms and Conditions
General
1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for the promotion form part of the conditions of entry.
2. By entering the promotion, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Promotor
3. HBF as a promoter means HBF Health Limited ABN 11 126 884 786 carrying on business as HBF and under other business names.
Gift details & conditions
4. The promotion is only open to members of the public participating in the Blackmores12km and Snap Fitness Half Marathon as part of the HBF Run for a Reason (Entrants).
5. The entrant that records the fastest time between the start line and finish line of the Specsavers Dash, which is a part of the 12 km and Half Marathon mentioned above will be awarded as the winner, there will be one female (Gift one) and one male winner (gift two).
6. The female and male entrant that records the fastest time in the Specsavers Dash will receive the gift.
7. Gift: One gift each of a voucher to receive a pair of glasses including single vision lenses up to the value of $299 from Specsavers’ nominated store will be awarded to the fastest female and fastest male to complete the Specsavers Dash.
8. In the event that two or more female and/or male entrants record the fastest time in the Specsavers Dash each entrant will be awarded the gift.
9. Each Entrant will have their time recorded through their timing chip attached to their bib.
10. An entrant may enter once only.
11. The Gift cannot be exchanged for other goods/services.
12. All other costs and expenses associated with the gift, beyond the specified gift components, will be the responsibility of the Entrants.
13. The Entrants will be responsible for any and all taxes incurred in relation to the receipt of the gift.
14. Substitute gifts will not be available, should Entrants be unable to use the gift at the allocated time.
15. HBF may at its absolute discretion substitute a different gift in place of any gift referred to in these terms and conditions.
Promotion duration
16. The promotion will commence at 06.45am WST on Sunday 19 May 2019 (Commencement Date).
17. Entries for this promotion will close at 12.00pm WST on Sunday 19 May 2019 (Closing Date).
18. No late entries will be eligible to enter the promotion.
Method of entry
19. All Entrants who
- Enter in the Blackmores 12km and Snap Fitness Half Marathon as part of the HBF Run for Reason
between the Commencement Date and the Closing Date will be automatically entered into the promotion.
Selection Details
20. The Entrants will be identified at 12.00pm on Monday 20 May 2019 at 570 Wellington Street, Perth, WA 6000.
21. The judge's decision will at all times be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entrant notification
22. The Winning Entrants will be notified by telephone and will receive confirmation by email.
Publicity
23. It is a condition of entry that HBF and Specsavers has the right to publicise the Winning Entrants for any promotion or matter incidental to the promotion, if required.
24. The Winning Entrants may also be required by HBF to participate in a photo session and acknowledge that HBF has the right to use such publicity photos in any medium (including, without limitation, the Internet), and in any reasonable manner it deems fit.
25. The Winning Entrants agree to make themselves available for publicity purposes without charge.
Indemnity & disclaimer
26. All entrants release and indemnify HBF and all of its related companies and personnel and any prize provider from and against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any gift(s) or participation in the promotion including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury, damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
27. Neither HBF nor any of its related companies, personnel or prize provider will be responsible or liable if for any reason beyond their reasonable control any element of any gift is not provided.
28. Neither HBF nor any of its related companies, personnel or prize provider will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred if, for any reason, the promotion is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity.
29. Neither HBF nor any of its related companies, personnel or prize provider will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from late, lost or misdirected entries.
30. Neither HBF nor any of its related companies, personnel or prize provider will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from any change in the value of a gift occurring between the publishing date and the date the gift is claimed.
Reserved rights
31. HBF reserves the right to exclude any person from this promotion for any reason whatsoever.
32. In all matters, all decisions of HBF will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entertained.
33. HBF reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or cancel the promotion at any time.
34. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of HBF which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, HBF reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process. HBF assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
Privacy statement
HBF complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) to ensure that your personal (including sensitive) information (Information) is protected. On entry for the promotion, we may collect details of your name, address, age, telephone number, and in some cases other contact details such as a facsimile number, post office box number and/or email address. HBF will not use the Information for any other purpose other than that associated with this HBF sponsored promotion. We may use the Information to publish the results of the promotion in the local newspapers or on the internet. If you do not wish to provide Information which is required, HBF may not be able to properly register you for the promotion, or contact you in case of changes to the promotion or perform any other functions relating to the promotion or only perform them to a limited extent. We may disclose your Information to our service providers and prize providers, who may provide some services or contact you in relation to this promotion directly to you on our behalf. Specsavers’ privacy policy is available at specsavers.com.au. HBF is unlikely to transfer your Information overseas. HBF will retain your Information for twelve months, after which it will be destroyed. The Information collected by HBF in connection with this promotion, and this statement in connection with the Information, is separate from, and without prejudice to, any other personal information concerning you collected and held by HBF. HBF collects, uses and discloses your Information in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is available at www.hbf.com.au or on request by calling an HBF Sales and Retention Consultant on 133 423. Our Privacy Policy contains further information about how HBF handles your Information. This includes information on how you can access and/or seek the correction of your Information that we hold about you as required by law and make a complaint about the way your Information is being handled by HBF and how HBF will deal with your complaint.
