About the role

The HBF Run for a Reason start line is located at the intersection of William Street and Hay Street, right in the heart of the CBD.

The bag drop compound is a place for participants to drop their belongings off before commencing their run.

Bag compound attendants in the start area will assist with handing out clear bags for participants to pop their belongings into and collecting these bags/labelling them ready for collection by participants upon return to the CBD at the conclusion of the event.

We’re looking for bright, cheerful people who work well in a team, with basic maths skills. This position will involve standing for extended periods of time.

When and where

Date required: Sunday 19 May 2019

Meeting location point: Forrest Chase, Perth CBD

Start/Finish Time: 5.45am to 12 noon

What's involved?

Tasks will include:

  • Greeting participants as they arrive at the bag drop compound
  • Handing out clear bags for participants to place their personal belongings into (no personal bags will be accepted)
  • Collecting clear bags from participants wanting to leave their belongings in the bag compound ensuring their bag is clearly labelled with the number on their race bib which should be pinned to the front of their shirt
  • Placing bags in the correct spot of the number storage system
  • Ensuring no unauthorised people enter the bag storage area (authorised people = event crew and bag compound volunteers only)
  • Locating bags that match the label to the race number when participants return to collect belongings
