Please note:  Team entries have now closed.  Individual online entries can be made up until 8pm on Tuesday, 18 May.  'Last chance' registrations can be made in person at the HBF Marquee in Forrest Place from Wednesday, 19 May until Saturday, 22 May.

Why not challenge your colleagues, friends, school mates, club mates or gym buddies to participate in the HBF Run for a Reason? There are two distances to choose from, the Act-Belong-Commit 4.5km or 14km distance. The HBF Run for a Reason is an event for everyone of all ages and fitness levels – you can walk, stroll, jog or run either distance.

How does the Ramsay Team Challenge work?

There are two different processes for registering for the Ramsay Team Challenge, depending on whether you are the ‘Team Captain’ or ‘Team Participant’.

Once you decide to enter a team, you will need to nominate a Team Captain. This person is responsible for registering the team, entering or checking team participant details, collecting participant packs and paying the entry fees (if applicable).

There are two registration options available to Team Captains, public and private. If you would prefer team participants to enter their own details when registering your team, select the public option.

The other option is private, which allows you as the Team Captain to coordinate these details yourself.

You also have two payment options at this point. You can nominate for team members to pay for themselves OR you can nominate to pay team members registration fees on their behalf.

All team participant packs will need to be collected from the HBF Marquee. Team Captains can nominate to pick up the packs on behalf of the participants OR that each team participant can collect them individually. Please note, those teams with 10 or more participants can only select to have their Team Captain collect their packs.

What is the process for registering a team?alt

  1. If you are the nominated Team Captain, your registration process is as follows:
  2. Select ‘team entry’ when prompted for the entry type.
  3. Enter your team name.
  4. Determine whether you would like your team to be ‘public’ or ‘private’.
  5. Enter your team members details, including your own if you selected private (otherwise team members will need to enter their own details).
  6. Select whether you wish to pick up your entire teams participant packs or whether team participants will pick them up themselves.
  7. If the team is a ‘private’ team, you will need to pay the teams entry fees. If the team is a ‘public’ team, team participants will need to pay their individual entry fees at time of registration.
  8. If you would like to fundraise, select a charity from our six chronic disease charities that you wish to fundraise for via the provided link. As the Team Captain you can select one charity the whole team fundraises for, or you can allow team participants to fundraise for their own charity.
  9. You will be sent a unique team username and password so you can update your team details at any time.
  10. Your team will be officially entered into the Ramsay Team Challenge once payment has been received from all participants.

If you want to join a team, ie you are wanting to be a team participant, your process is as follows:

  1. Select ‘team entry’ when prompted for the entry type.
  2. Search for your team name that has been registered by your Team Captain. Please note, you can only do this if your Team Captain made your team public. If your team is private, you will need to contact your Team Captain direct to register you in the team.
  3. Enter your details.
  4. Pay the entry fee.
  5. If you wish to fundraise, select a charity from our six chronic disease charities that you wish to fundraise for via the provided link – or the one your team captain nominated.
